Can I be paid before collection?

No, payment will be issued promptly after collection. We do this to ensure each vehicle is seen before payment – meaning our scrap collection partner can confirm that the quote was issued based on the true specification and condition of the car.

Is it okay to arrange collection for the evening?

Yes, that should be fine. When you accept your quote, you’ll be able to see a range of available collection slots. Just choose the one that fits around your day.

Can I change my mind about a quote to scrap my car in Dorset?

Absolutely. You’re under no obligation to sell your car to us. If you do need to cancel, we just ask that you give as much notice as possible, as some of our collection partners travel a long way to collect cars.

Can you provide a Certificate of Destruction?

Yes. In actual fact, the Certificate of Destruction (COD) will be issued by the DVLA and sent to the facility that’s handling your car, but when it’s received, they will send a copy on to you.

I’m going to need help with my V5C – is that okay?

Of course. For V5C forms issued before April 2019, you’ll simply need to fill out section 9. For documents created after this date, the process is the same – but it’s section 4 you’ll need to complete. Don’t worry if you’re not sure though; our collection driver will be happy to assist.

Are all your scrap yards authorised?

Yes they are. Since the DVLA vehicle destruction process can only be carried out by scrap yards that meet strict ‘Authorised Treatment Facility’ (ATF) guidelines, we also only work with ATF accredited dismantlers – to ensure the best service and best prices for our customers.
