Can you help me fill out my log book?

Of course. Assuming your log book was issued before April 2019, you’ll need to complete section 9. However, for documents issued after this date, you’ll need to complete section 4. Fill out the required details, detach the slip from the rest of the form, then return it to the DVLA address that you’ll find on the rear.

How do I inform the DVLA that my car is off the road?

To let the DVLA know your car is off the road you should make a Statutory Off-Road Notification (SORN). When you do, you won’t be able to drive or keep your car on a public road, so you’ll have to make sure you follow the DVLA rules carefully to avoid prosecution or a fine.

What happens if I change my mind about a quote?

Don’t worry if you need to change your mind about a quote we’ve issued. You’ll need to let us know as quickly as possible though – so we can cancel your collection and make sure you’re not charged for a wasted journey.

I’ve lost my keys – what should I do?

Don’t panic! We can collect vehicles that can’t be opened or started. Please let the collection partner who’s coming for your car know when they get in touch – but don’t worry, they have the equipment needed to move cars without keys.
