Your nominated person must have a form of photo ID to show our collection partner, and if the V5C document isn’t available at the collection, they will also need to show a utility bill that’s addressed to them and dated within the last 3 months.

What do I do with the V5C (log book)?

The V5C registration document needs to be returned to the DVLA once both you and your collection partner have completed section 9. This section confirms the transfer of your vehicle to a motor trader, insurer or dismantler. It is your responsibility to return the documents, but our collection partner will always assist and check the paperwork for you.
