Yes. When our scrap collection partner picks your car up, you’ll both need to complete section 9 of the V5C form to inform the DVLA that your car has been scrapped. It’s your responsibility to make sure this is done, but the person collecting your car will be happy to help.

What does the term ‘ELV’ mean?

ELV is a term used in the motor industry. It’s short for ‘End of Life Vehicle’ and describes any vehicle that’s no longer fit to be used. ELVs must be dismantled, depolluted, and recycled at government accredited authorised treatment facilities.

My circumstances have changed, and I don’t want to scrap my car now. What should I do?
