Yes – all of our scrap partners are Authorised Treatment Facilities – or ATFs. ATFs are the only facilities that will handle your vehicle to the standard required by the DVLA – so we insist on this accreditation.

Can my neighbour be with the car when it’s collected?

Absolutely. The Scrap Metal Dealers Act of 2013 does say someone over the age of 18 needs to be with the car – but it doesn’t have to be the owner or registered keeper. Please make sure your nominated person has a form of photo ID with them – and a proof of address if you won’t be supplying a V5C with the car. Our scrap partner won’t need to take these documents away – but they will need to make a copy.

How is a scrap car valued?
